Integrated Dyeing Units
In 1999, SALCE, in its constant development of existing technology, took a fundamental step in the evolution of laboratory dosing units: the introduction of integrated dyeing.

On a dosing unit, which until then had been used to prepare recipes in beakers of external machines, it became possible to also carry out the sampling phase thanks to the addition of specially designed dyeing units, perfectly inserted in the context of the dosing unit itself and therefore able to receive the products, in one or more different phases. A process cycle can be associated with a recipe dosed in a dyeing unit (and on this point SALCE has benefited from decades of experience in the creation of department programmers) and, consequently, to carry out the dyeing by simulating exactly what happens in production.
The fact that the recipe is dosed directly into the dyeing unit guarantees maximum precision and efficiency of the system.
The dyeing cycle can be programmed to have the additions and dosages of dyes and/or auxiliary products in exactly the same steps as the production machines.
In this way, the laboratory-production working conditions become comparable and repeatable.
All this is done completely automatically and independently of the operator.
Features of integrated dyeing units:
- Each dyeing unit is independent of the others and can have an individually controlled process cycle;
- Automatic addition of dyes and auxiliaries during the dyeing cycle;
- Autonomous loading, unloading, heating, cooling, washing in each unit;
- Automatic opening and closing of lids;
- Possibility to dye under pressure;
- Heating and cooling are in direct contact with the bath, guaranteeing an ideal thermal trend, higher thermal efficiency and significant savings in electricity;
- Different modes of bath circulation depending on the dyeing unit model;
- Integration into the dosing unit on a modular basis which allows for installation (or addition in subsequent phases) of groups each composed of one or two units (depending on the model);
- Automatic bath ratio;
- Interface with all the most popular colourimetry software;
- Made of AISI 316 stainless steel;
- Wide variation of the weight of the material to be dyed;
- Wide range of material holders to optimize the result according to the type of product to be dyed.
Dyeing unit with single-direction centrifugal pump
ST06/135 – ST11/135
The model is equipped with an internal centrifugal pump in the autoclave with variable speed. With a unidirectional dyeing bath movement, this model allows dyeing with bath ratios between 1:5 and 1:30 with weights from 5 to 70 gr depending on the material used.
Dyeing unit with reversing pump
ST15/135
The model with programmable bath reversal allows to increase in the level of bath penetration so that it is possible to dye any material with excellent results.
The ST 15/135 is available in various sizes allowing dyeing with bath ratios between 1:5 and 1:30 samples up to 500g depending on the material used.
Horizontal dyeing unit
STO/135
The horizontal model STO/135 is equipped with a special material holder, which allows dyeing to be carried out by simultaneously moving the bath and the material, with adjustable cycles and speeds.
With a minimum bath capacity of about 100cc, this model allows to have a minimum bath ratio of 1:5 and samples up to 25g, depending on the material used.
